Trimo Research Awards

PMI would like to send you this information about Trimo, an Engineering and production of prefabricated buildings company in Slovenia, who organise their yearly Trimo Research Awards.

The international Trimo Research Awards for the best Diploma papers, Specialist dissertation, Master’s dissertations, and Doctoral theses, are developing close relationship ties between young and ambitious researchers, and their mentors, on one hand; and Trimo on the other.
The call for applications, which we announce in Slovenia, and a few other European countries, every year, is intended for scientific work that is in any way connected with Trimo’s areas of work. Traditionally, the types of work most represented are from areas such as architecture, construction, mechanical engineering, IT, economics, law, management, etc.

Call for applications 2010 is now open for the 9th TRIMO RESEARCH AWARDS.

This is for the best university thesis, expert works, masters' and doctoral thesis in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and United Kingdom.
The purpose of the contest is promotion of research work among undergraduate and graduate students in all the fields of research that are interesting for company Trimo.

ARCHITECTURE (for example: contemporary steel architecture, mobile architecture, light design, modern façade envelope design, interactive building façades)
CONSTRUCTION / CIVIL ENGINEERING (for example: modern building materials, thin-layer façades, nanotechnology in the field of construction, sustainable construction, composite constructions)
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (for example: renewable energy sources - solar thermal technology)

The Awards are an opportunity for students for all topics from management, business excellence, marketing, organisation, projec management, sustainability, finance, architecture and of course different topics of technics. For this year the opportunity is not yet for all european countries, only for Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, and United Kingdom.
